The lovely Kristy Elena, of the sunglasses hut Full Time Fabulous blog has organized another blogging event and this one is all about Spring…or our interpretation of it. Sadly, our spring weather seems to have deserted us here in Ireland and we are now back to grey and cloudy and not terribly spring like. Bah.
How ever, I am not going to let that prevent me from showing you my interpretation of spring (which isn’t necessarily fashion related), so here it goes.
Dandelions. Yes, I know they are weeds. But they are pretty yellow weeds, and when they start popping up,you know spring has arrived!
The Swans… yes they are around all year, but there seems to be a whole lot more of them about when spring arrives and I got theses snaps of them swimming near some more pretty weeds I mean flowers… pink flowers. I guess what Im trying to say is pretty colors and flowers symbolize spring for me.
That would be my mom you can almost see sitting in the sun there, she is probably wondering where is my mocha with lots of cream. Im using this picture because sitting outside a cafe in the sun, drinking coffee (or mochas or even ahem a glass of wine) is something I associate with spring, really because often our spring weather is MUCH better than our summer weather…
These next 2 pictures, were the first 2 outfit posts (since I started outfit posts in November) where I actually felt warm enough to not need a jacket. I loved both of these shoots, the sun, the water, the dresses… I even called one shoot, I got that spring feeling… so nough said on that!
My boyfriend and I lived in Vancouver for a year and half, this sign was right outside our house and it always made me smile and it really does remind me of spring. (I miss that sign)
This is the canal that runs through Galway and you might have noticed it behind me in some of my other outfit posts such as here and here. Well up until a month or so ago it was fairly devoid of any color. Now how ever, Spring is here… (now if only the sun would come back out) Hope you all enjoyed my post X
