Ahhh, Coachella. I dream of the day I can actually afford to go, to be surrounded by so many stylish people and celebrities and most importantly lots of sunshine, oh and erm… the music obviously. Seriously though, for the last few years Ive been doing some serious style stalking of this festival and I have to say its the winner in the style stakes hands down. I have been checking out all the images for the last week or so and wanted to share my favorites with you.
A side note: I said vintage style. So while I do think these outfits look very vintage-esque, I am aware that most of them are probably not. As Dita in Dior, Katy Perry in D&G and Vanessa Hudgens in… what? I dont know what it is. A few of these looks are more boho than vintage but, seeing as how boho is a direct influence of the late 1960′s/early 70s hippie vibe, I figure Ill get away with it… almost. Is boho coming back? Or did it ever go away? Im not really sure, but Ill tell you one thing Isabel Lucas has certainly stolen Sienna Miller’s crown when it comes to it.
Oh Dita. Ive mentioned before how much I love this womans style. The top picture is definitely my favorite, although I am in love with those shades and the sailor hat worn above. Straight out of the Dior S/S collection, which I loved. She totally wins most stylish woman at Coachella this year. Hands down.
While Im not a huge big fan of socks with loafers, I think she is pulling off this look nicely, love the dress and the hat. She had other festival looks but this was the only one I could really call vintage…. ah hem.. esque.
Diane Kruger, in the aforementioned ‘boho’ kind of look. Boho, even if its probably all Chanel (it usually is) She looks amazing in everything. Its ridiculous.
Ive mentioned Katy in a post before as well, as its well documented that she likes vintage and when she is not wearing those awful rubber dresses for her stage performances, her off duty style is pretty bang on. I love this D&G lace dress, its actually full length and I love the way she’s accessorized it with the head scarf and long string of pearls. I would also like to own her sunglasses collection.
I stole some of these images from a celeb site called just jared, the pictures are by fame images. If you want a good place to go for celeb gossip and pics, its highly recommended. If you read my blog often, you’ll know that I am a fan of Isabel Lucas and her style, even if I occasionally think she could do with a burger.. or two. This hairy fellow is her new man, Angus Stone. He is an Australian musician, and he is in desperate need of a haircut.. there I said it.
How not to dress like a hippy. In my opinion, this is taking boho to far. I can deal with most of it, its the pants that are killing me.
Whitney Port. Shame on you. I cant decide if I like the dress or if it looks to much like a doily/curtain/very small tablecloth. Either way, the shoes DO NOT go, but, Ill give her points for the 2 mojitos….
