Vintage Viewing

My new tv love. Pan Am. I know it’s been getting mixed reviews since it aired, but I watched the first 5 episodes online yesterday (call it, research, ah hem) and I’m hooked. I love the characters, I love the clothes!

Christina Ricci’s character is my favorite, but I cant wait to see how the other characters develop in the next few episodes, I just really hope they dont cancel it after one season.  This is just the fix I needed, while I patiently wait for Mad Men, True Blood and Game of Thrones to come back. (I know, whatanerd)

Another one I’m excited about, My week with Marilyn, starring Michelle Williams. I dont know how I feel about Williams as Ms. Monroe but I can’t wait to see it regardless. The few stills I found of it look fabulous and Emma Watson  looks adorable. The movie is based on the books written by Colin Clark about the time Marilyn was in Britain, filming the prince and the show girl in 1957.

In case your interested in the books….

Apologies for the picture heavy and very little text content post. I had a busy Halloween weekend and am still recovering! Night 1 saw me dressed as a Zombie chef at work and night 2 I was the Queen of Tarts. Or erm Hearts, which ever you prefer really. My other half went as Awe-som-o , if you like South Park, you’ll appreciate the effort!

Oh Pan Am. I really want to love it, but don’t.  Too many storylines. Also anger that flying sucks now (lol).

I’m excited for My Week with Marilyn. We’ll see how it turns out!

Maybe were you went wrong with Pan Am was watching it episode be episode. I watched the first 5 back to back (what can I say I was having a lazy day) So I got a lot more into the characters stories… it does get better after the first few! Yes, flying is no where near as luxurious these days… sigh. Unless your loaded that is… double sigh.

I don’t know how I’ve missed PanAm thus far, but I have a nasty cold, so I plan on catching up on this show over the next couple days. I love Christina Richie, and it looks like its right up my alley. Plus, I need something to fill the gaping hole in my heart until Mad Men returns!

Love your costumes! You went all out. :) Oh, and tell your boyfriend I think he’s awesome(o). I know, I know – really bad pun.

So far, I am the only person I know that has been enjoying it, so I’ll be looking forward to your opinion! ps I’ll forgive the terrible pun because of your nasty cold! :)

Hey, I don’t know! I guess you were under my radar too! Either way, we have found each other now! You can watch the Pan Am show online, that’s how I watch nearly everything, as I work nights and miss most of the shows when they are on tv! Go to a site called, tvlinks and type in the name of the show you want, presto! (just dont blame me when you dont want to live the house anymore!) Xps. Im off to M&S wish me luck! :)

Vintage style is becoming popular these days. Emma Watson looks pretty with the vintage expose.

PAN AM is one of my fav programs, although it isn’t the best compared to other tv programs in terms of storylines etc it’s the whole vintage era feel that I love so it jumps up the ranks for me. Much like Catch Me If You Can film has that vintage feel too! We sometimes blog about new vintage look t shirts http://www.printedtshirts.co.uk/blog
